Phone Systems

An efficient office phone system is one of the most important purchases any business can make. Even with the advent of the Internet, the telephone is often the easiest way to reach your customers or clients; and for them to reach you.  While voicemail can be convenient, callers are sometimes disconnected, routed incorrectly, disconnected, or faced with a bewildering array of automated options.

Companies with more than 50 employees usually have PBX systems. PBX systems were once massive telecom cabinets used by huge companies.  Modern versions are smaller.  A  powerful PBX for a small company can now sit unobtrusively on a desk.

Key systems are often a better choice for companies with less than 50 employees. A key system uses a central control device  to provide features that are not available with ordinary phones. Users can usually make calls to another in-office extension, and other users cannot accidentally pick up a line that is being used.

Voice over IP (VOIP) is an emerging technology in business telephone systems.  VOIP allows calls to be routed inexpensively over the Internet.
